109
– Fiberglass Sleeving |
|
|
| |
|
|
| |
109 – Comprised of closely woven, highly
flexible continuous filament E glass braid that has been heat-treated
to remove starches and oils and to set the braid. Fiberglass
sleeving is the product of choice for use in high temperature,
low voltage applications. Its flexibility and expandability
allow for use over irregular shapes which, coupled with its
high degree of saturability, make these products ideal for use
as coil insulation where varnish or vacuum pressure impregnation
is used. |

109HTS – Comprised of tightly woven electrical
grade fiberglass braid that has been heat-treated and saturated
with acrylic resin to resist fraying of cut ends. It provides
space factor thermal and electrical insulation properties at
temperatures up to 650ºC, with continuous operation at
450ºC. 109HTS products are available in a wide range of
colors making it a good choice for color-coding leads on high
temperature devices with an abrasion resistant protective sleeving.

104 –
Vinyl Coated Fiberglass Sleeving |
|
|
| |
|
|
| |
Product 104 is comprised of specially formulated,
lead-free polyvinyl chloride resin applied to premium electrical
grade braided fiberglass sleeving. It is flame resistant,
highly flexible, extremely abrasion resistant sleeving designed
for use in class 130°C insulating systems. Product 104
is compatible with most commonly used insulating resin systems.

105 –
Acrylic Coated Fiberglass Sleeving |
|
|
| |
|
|
| |
Product 105 is comprised of acrylic resin continuously
coated over premium electrical grade braided fiberglass sleeving.
It offers excellent flexibility, cut-through and mechanical
abrasion resistance and is rated class 155ºC electrically.
Acrylic sleeving is the work-horse of the motor, transformer
and lighting industries. is compatible with all magnet wire
coatings as well as insulating varnishes such as polyesters,
epoxies, phenolics and formvar; it is an approved component
in most UL insulation systems. |

107 –
Silicone Coated Fiberglass Sleeving |
|
|
| |
|
|
| |
Product 107 is comprised of specially formulated
high temperature silicone rubber extruded onto premium electrical
grade braided fiberglass sleeving. The extrusion process results
in a higher density coating that is more homogeneous, has better
concentricity and yields longer continuous lengths than the
typical liquid dipped products common to the industry. Product
107 exhibist extreme toughness, chemical and dielectric resistance
at temperatures ranging from -70ºC to 200ºC and is
rated for continuous use at 200ºC. This product offers
excellent resistance to moisture, ozone, radiation, and most
chemicals and is suitable for use in under-the-hood automotive
applications.

111 –
Expandable Sleevings |
|

111PET – Braided from 10 mil polyethylene
terepthalate (PET) monofilament yarns. The material has a wide
operating temperature range, is resistant to chemical degradation,
UV radiation, and abrasion. The sleeving cuts easily and cleanly
with a hot knife and once installed, will beautify and protect
any wire, hose or cable application.
This product is used in electronics, automotive, marine and
industrial wire harnessing applications where cost efficiency
and durability are critical. The unique braided construction
and wide expandability allows quick and easy installation
over large connectors and long runs. PT can be found in applications
ranging from small office/home office to high tech wire and
cable harnesses. The wide range of available colors and sizes
allows easy and systematic color coding in complex wiring
and cabling schemes.
111PETFR – Sleeving is the perfect choice for electronic
and high tech applications where flame retardance and durability
are primary concerns. Ease of installation makes this product
an efficient choice for long runs of wire or cable. The addition
of an organic combustion inhibitor to the standard polyethylene
terepthalate gives 111PETRFR an Underwriters Lab and CSA flame
resistance rating of VW-1. Available in black with a white
tracer and white with a black tracer.
111HT – HALAR® self-extinguishing sleeving is used
where flammability, high temperature endurance, and low outgassing
are primary concerns. 111HT is braided from 11 mil ethylene
chlorotriflouroethylene (ECTFE) copolymer monofilament. Because
of its low flame spread and smoke generation properties, this
product has received UL 2024 and NFPA 262 plenum listings,
UL flame resistance rating of VW-1 and exceeds automotive
industry requirements of FMVSS 302, as well as aviation industry
requirements of FAR 25. Halar sleeving resists a wide range
of corrosive chemicals and organic solvents, including strong
acids, chlorine and aqueous caustics. HALAR® ECTFE also
maintains useful properties on exposure to Cobalt 60 radiation
at doses up to 200 megarads.
